In a recent case we assisted the United States Marshal Service in the search and subsequent arrest of a homicide fugitive. Attached is the media release from the New Mexico State Police and recognition from the U.S. Marshal from the Middle District of Florida.

What does law enforcement say about ecoATM
“I was able to recover the phone, with remote assistance, from the machine and return it to its owner. I was also able to use the time stamp from the info you provided to pull Walmart video tracing the suspect’s actions and the theft of the phone from the store prior to her depositing it in the machine. Ironically after dropping off the phone, the suspect then attempted to take a display tv and walk out with it. She resisted arrest but was taken in to custody. At the time we did not know about the phone, so we now have a complete case. The suspect has a heroin problem that is fueling her larceny behavior. My victim got his phone back but we are still pushing the matter in to court. Our hope is with possible jail time time over her head, she will be more motivated to complete the Drug Court’s guidelines and get the help she needs to find sobriety. If successful, this case coupled with the charges from her shoplifting will help prevent future theft.
