At the Kiosk
Next, while visiting our kiosks and getting your phone inspected for the cash offer, we never access any personal information on your smartphone or tablet.
We only access the System portion of your phone to check specific device information such as model, memory, IMEI number, and carrier. Those items help us determine the value of your phone and help us prevent fraud.
After the kiosk
Once you sell your smartphone or tablet at ecoATM kiosks, we take several precautions to ensure that they are safely handled. The collected smartphones and tablets are collected by services, who seals them in a tamper-proof bag, ship to our Processing Center via reputable national carriers.
Once the devices are in our Processing Center, our security controls include physical security, monitoring, chain-of-custody, shipment certifications, and personnel qualifications.
After our processing
Before they can purchase from ecoATM, we ensure that the buyers are contractually obligated to have the appropriate security, controls, and data wipe process in place. ecoATM audits all of our buyers to ensure they maintain these high standards.
We take your privacy very seriously and have instituted a series of measures that help minimize exposure of data.
